2x Operational Trainer – day shift Sunday-Thursday 8.30am-5pm/  Tuesday-Saturday 8.30-5pm. One evening shift would be required every third week. Successful candidate would be expected to work Monday-Friday shift pattern until fully trained.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Communicate with all departments to understand the requirements on the daily and weekly plan in terms of prioritising workload for the week
  • Undertake facilitation of all classroom-based training sessions such as Inductions, Food Safety, Manual Handling, Chemical Handling etc.
  • Where necessary, assist the Operational Team with training to ensure the team has the highest skill set, to aid efficiency
  • Ensure that training records and competency checks are completed on time and ensuring all BRC requirements are covered
  • Issuing of all relevant training updates to each Shop floor trainer on a daily basis to support the team to achieve targets
  • Create SOPS’s as well as support the development / review of SOP’s and procedures to the standard format for the business
  • Organise training of all relevant SOP’s and procedures in line with the review requirements and at intervals as and when required by production and departmental managers
  • Update the relevant skills matrices when employees have been trained out and signed off against SOP’s, procedures and processes
  • Support the organisation of training meetings and training sessions within each department as and when required
  • Ensure efficient communication between the Training department and operations and other internal departments via telephone, e-mail and person to person
  • Analyse and identify skills gaps and training requirements. Using available data be able to highlight any areas of concern and support supervisors and managers to produce relevant training plans for their team members
  • Be flexible and Self-manage time effectively
  • Achieve performance targets and generate training KPI’s when required
  • Undertake any in-house or external training sessions
  • Be proactive with a “can do attitude” in looking for solutions to improve any working area
  • Understand the importance of CCP’s and the understanding that all roles of activity are as important as each other when training staff members

Train The Trainer qualification advantageous but not essential as will be provided
