The Role:

This role plays a pivotal part in supporting our Logistical and Operations Department by providing comprehensive stock management and administrative support to the business. The role requires a strong understanding of stock management, order processing, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Ensure Health & Safety of yourself and others within the department.
  • Work closely with the stock analysis team to provide administrative support, streamline processes, and contribute to ensuring all stock levels on and off site are accurate.
  • Accurately and efficiently process Retail, Industrial and any other orders received daily in line with current and future processes. Ensure the details of stock requirements and shortages are shared with relevant departments to ensure 100% service levels are achieved.
  • Book transport as required with external Hauliers and communicate any changes or updates. Ensure accurate documentation (Pick Lists, Load plans and Despatch Notes…) is produced for all vehicles and copies are kept for audit purposes.
  • Through liaising with Procurement, ensure booking-in slots are managed for inbound deliveries and all goods received are booked in and processed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Manage the processing of stock transfers both internally as well as to and from external storage facilities as required, to facilitate any onsite requirements.
  • Completion of weekly stock reconciliations for off-site Warehouses vs SAP. Investigate and amend any anomalies by liaising with offsite storage facilities and seek solutions to avoid repeats.
  • Ensuring any product on hold, rejected or returned is isolated and stored in the correct location. Capturing any stock disposals and ensuring weekly reports are supplied.
  • Daily Warehouse stock counts on site and investigate and correct any anomalies in SAP. Be available for off-site stock audits with external storage facilities.
  • Equipment (Returnable Trays, Chep Pallets…) management – Order / De-hire on partner service portals where required.
  • Attend Daily meetings where required and be able to report on / investigate any stock anomalies.
  • Maintain good housekeeping in line with company GMP Policy, ensuring the department is always audit ready.
  • Supporting Supervisors in the Logistics department to deliver effective decision making by providing relevant data, information and support where required.
  • Any further duties as may be required as deemed necessary.

Skills Required:

  • Previous experience of working within Logistics Administration and Stock Control will be a benefit.
  • Previous experience of using SAP or a WMS will be beneficial.
  • Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong IT skills – In particular, using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Able to be a team player and provide support where required.
  • Strong communication skills

Hours of work:

  • Full time – 06:00 – 18:00 working to a 4 on 4 off shift pattern
